This is Cappadocia.
3:00 – 6:40 | EXPO AREA
The day is just beginning, but the energy is already high.
At the expo area, colors, sounds, and excitement blend together.
Smiles everywhere, volunteers running around everyone getting ready for that big moment.
Here, not only the runners, but the entire town is holding its breath.
Tents, signs, logos, music… every detail is part of this story.
Salomon Cappadocia Ultra Trail begins like a festival even before the start.
6:40 – 11:30 | 14 KILOMETERS – PREPARATION – START – COURSE – FINISH
A short but fast adventure.
The 14-kilometer course...
In this distance, every second matters, every step can change the fate of the race.
Beginners and experienced runners meet on the same line.
Cappadocia’s energy mixes with the excitement on their faces.
The start signal is given and once again, the wind begins to move.
Short but tough climbs... In this stage, speed and focus are equally decisive.
At every turn, the landscape changes offering both breath and inspiration.
Now, everyone is running their own race.
And after a few kilometers, the sounds of Ürgüp are heard.
The 14-kilometer course ends, but the energy of that first start still lingers on their faces.
Some see the finish line for the first time, others set a new goal.
A short distance, but a big thrill.
11:30 – 13:30 | 119 & 63 KILOMETERS – PREPARATION – START
Seven in the morning. Ürgüp is silent.
But this silence will soon mix with the echo of thousands of footsteps.
As the sun rises, two great adventures 119 and 63 kilometers begin.
Hundreds of runners set out on the same land, each chasing a different dream.
13:30 – 16:30 | 119 & 63 KILOMETERS – COURSE
In the men’s race, Mehmet Soytürk takes the lead right from the start.
He sets the rhythm of the course, followed patiently by the Iranian runner Hossein Niroomandi. Among the women, Beyza Güzel takes control early on leading from the very first kilometers. Right behind her is Naomi Brand from South Africa.
On the dusty roads and among the stone valleys, battles begin both in men’s and women’s races.
As the hours pass, the sun rises higher.
Heat, fatigue, and dust become the hidden rivals of the runners.
Mehmet still leads passing through Göreme, Çavuşin, and Akdağ, widening the gap.
16:30 – 18:30 | 38 KILOMETERS – PREPARATION – START
Thirty-eight kilometers the middle distance.
Not short, not long.
For runners, this is where endurance meets speed.
The start is given; heartbeats and applause merge into one sound.
The crowd is so large that the start line keeps moving for minutes.
18:30 – 25:30 | COURSE BATTLES – ALL DISTANCES
Cappadocia’s roads are long, its climbs unforgiving.
But this challenge isn’t only on the 119-kilometer course...
At 63 kilometers, the pace slows faces are tired but determined.
The last climbs signal the approach of the finish.
On the 38-kilometer course, the rhythm is still high breaths echo through narrow valleys, blending with the sound of footsteps.
Short distance, high speed every step an explosion, every descent a risk.
And as the 119-kilometer leadership changes hands, a fierce battle begins for the finish line across all distances.
At the eighth Checkpoint, Mehmet Soytürk, who has been leading, runs out of strength and drops out of the race.
Suddenly, everything changes. Hossein Niroomandi seizes the opportunity, takes the lead, and increases his pace.
In the women’s race, competition turns into a “sweet-but-hard” rivalry.
Up to the seventh Checkpoint, Beyza Güzel is in front.
But she rests a bit too long there.
Naomi Brand leaves the Checkpoint early, passes Beyza, and takes the lead.
The lead changes, but the race is far from over.
25:30 – 28:30 | 63 & 38 KILOMETERS – FINISHES
At the finish area, time seems to slow down.
Some reach the line after a long 63-kilometer day, others complete a fast 38-kilometer journey.
But in all their eyes, the same expression appears the peace of finishing.
Some cross the line in silence, others shout with joy and raise their arms to the sky.
Some touch the ground, some hug their families.
28:30 – 33:00 | 119 KILOMETERS – COURSE BATTLES
But on this land, nothing is guaranteed.
As the race nears its end, Hossein takes a wrong turn on the course,
and Stanislav Sabokar moves into first place.
It becomes a day where endurance, focus, and luck all race together.
Meanwhile, Naomi’s strong pace begins to fade,
and at the ninth Checkpoint, Beyza regains the lead.
Now the rhythm is hers.
33:00 – 36:00 | TOWARD THE FINISH
As the evening light falls over the valleys,
tired bodies are fueled by the dream of the finish line.
In the men’s race, Stanislav is in front,
followed by runners with quiet yet powerful steps.
Among the women, Beyza widens the gap,
carrying Cappadocia’s wind behind every stride.
The sky is crimson, breaths are short, hearts beat fast.
Only a few kilometers remain yet every step feels endless.
36:00 – 40:00 | FINISHES – EMOTIONAL MOMENTS
And finally, Ürgüp appears.
The finish line.
All the exhaustion, dust, and sweat suddenly make sense.
Stanislav Sabokar in the men’s race, Beyza Güzel in the women’s the champions of Salomon Cappadocia Ultra Trail 2025.
But on this land, they are not the only winners.
Hossein’s patience, Mehmet’s courage, Naomi’s determination,
and the resilience of hundreds of nameless runners all are part of this story.
40:00 – 43:00 | KIDS RUN
A new day, new footsteps...
Now, children fill Cappadocia’s trails.
Colorful shirts, laughter, and excitement everywhere.
For them, this race is not just about running it’s the first step into a dream.
Maybe one day, they too will take on the great 119-kilometer adventure on these lands.
But today, it’s only their laughter echoing through the valleys perhaps the purest, truest victory of the Salomon Cappadocia Ultra Trail.
43:00 – 45:00 | CLOSING
The race ends, but the road never does.
Every year, thousands of footsteps pass over the same stones.
Some fast, some slow but all with the same heart.
Because in this race, there are no rivals only the road itself.
And that road is the longest step one can take toward oneself.
